The Grove Pond PFAS Treatment Facility is capable of treating up to 2.0 MGD. The facility is an addition to the existing treatment plant and includes concrete work, two ion exchange vessels, chemical storage and feed equipment, building construction, and associated HVAC, plumbing, electrical and instrumentation and control (SCADA) work.
The project was designed by CDM Smith and constructed by Winston Builders Corp. Put into service in September 2020, it is the first PFAS Treatment Facility in Massachusetts. The project cost was $3.3 M.
